Awakenings was a magazine produced by Andrew's high school. It featured artwork and poetry by students. Andrew's artwork was chosen for the 1999 edition. Andrew also had a few drawings inside. The top piece (with the "38") was done as an accompaniment to a powerful poem about the "arrows in my back." and how one should draw strength from those arrows.
